A process model is the part of the world model that predicts cycle time, cost and risk for one manufacturing operation, built from geometry, material and machine data rather than a flat rate per hour.
Why one model per process
Manufacturing processes such as milling, turning, EDM and grinding each remove or shape material in a physically different way, with different variables driving time, quality and cost. Because of that, Subduxion builds one process-specific model per manufacturing process rather than a single generic model for all of them. Milling is the first process family developed this way, turning is the second; EDM extends the same underlying representation to a physically different process.
How this differs from an hourly rate
A flat hourly machine rate applies the same number regardless of the part. A process model instead predicts based on the specific geometry, material and machine involved, so two different parts on the same machine can have different predicted cycle times and costs.
